- Yuri Fedotov, Executive Director, UNODC (2010-2019)

Evidence-Based Approaches
Utopia Addiction Clinic's treatment modalities and interventions are based on scientific evidence. We deploy a range of interventions supported by scientific evidence to promote behavioral change and recovery:
- Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helps individuals identify and correct problematic behaviors and thought patterns.
- Contingency Management (CM): Uses motivational incentives to reinforce positive behavior.
- Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA): Focuses on leveraging a person's community to reinforce a substance-free lifestyle.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI): A collaborative communication style to strengthen a person's motivation for change.
- Family-Oriented Treatment: Involves the family through psychoeducation and skills training.
- Mutual-Help Groups: Integrates peer-based support, such as 12-step programs.
- Pharmacological Interventions: Uses FDA-approved medications to address withdrawal and prevent relapse.
Our Programs
Residential Treatment
A healthy, safe inpatient environment where patients interact with staff and peers, learning about relapse prevention and the root causes of addiction. It is a powerful step towards recovery for those who require this level of care.
Outpatient Treatment
Designed for individuals who need treatment while living at home, allowing you to incorporate therapy into your life while attending school or work. Includes individual therapy, group meetings, and family sessions.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
A structured program of group and individual counselling. IOP is often a good fit for those who have completed residential care or for those early in their addiction with a strong supportive home environment.
Aftercare / Telehealth
Continued support is crucial. Telehealth improves access to care, allowing patients to continue receiving support from Utopia after returning home. Aftercare plans include therapy and relapse prevention.
